| Integrated transport system | | Buses, trains, taxis, light rail, walking and cycling all linked to create easy, convenient travel options. Elements include through-ticketing for bus-rail-tram services (e.g. London\'s travel card, which allows travellers to access all of the city\'s public transport modes with one ticket), train-taxi services where taxis can be booked in advance to take people to their final destination from the train station, bikes-on-trains provisions, safe walking routes to bus- and train-stations. |

| Intermodal Transport | | A movement of goods using more than one means of transportation. The most common intermodal arrangement is for goods to be moved by truck at their origin, transferred to rail for the long haul between regions, and transferred again to truck near their destination. |
